Return Policy & Plant Warranty

In order to keep our pricing as low as possible for you, we have implemented the following refund and return policies:

Store Items

Exchange or store credit only for store items returned in original condition within 30 days.

No returns on bulk, palletized, or plant materials. Please calculate your needs carefully and have the person with final authority approve the order before purchase.

Plant Warranty

At Grass Roots Garden Center, we hand pick and assess each plant we purchase to ensure that we are providing the best quality to our clients. Because of that, we are not able to refund or replace any plants that have been purchased from us at no additional cost. We can replace plants at wholesale cost one time only. This way both parties assume risk for the plant’s health.  Plant replacement policy is active for 1 year from the date of purchase.

All guarantees or claims against us are null and void due to 1) improper watering or care by owner; 2) acts of nature including, but not limited to: flood, drought, insects, prolonged freeze, or extreme heat; and 3) physical damage caused by humans or animals (pets, deer, mice, etc.). Please notify Grass Roots Garden Center if you need specific watering instructions.

The following are excluded from coverage by this warranty: client supplied plants, transplants, or specified plants that might be installed in a location against the advice of Grass Roots.

To have plants replaced, you must notify Grass Roots Garden Center with an email photo of the plant/plants as soon as it starts to decline. Plants will often recover if treated properly to the right amount of water. We cannot replace plants that have completely died with no prior warning of their decline.

Watering Tips

  • Our watering advice is based on plants living in a 72 degree house. Porch life or humidity could have an impact on its watering needs.
  • Always use tepid water for watering your houseplants.
  • Broadleaf plants need less water in fall and winter, but you should never allow the soil to completely dry out.
