to enhance coverage and longevity.

Use this on lawns to kill existing weeds during cool weather.

1. How it Works

Fertilome Weed Free Zone is a selective post-emergent herbicide designed to target and eliminate a wide range of broadleaf weeds without harming desired grasses. The product contains a combination of active ingredients that work together to disrupt the growth processes within the weeds, leading to their eventual death.

Once applied, Fertilome Weed Free Zone is absorbed by the weed’s foliage and then moves systemically throughout the plant. This ensures that even the roots are affected, providing a comprehensive kill. The herbicide disrupts the production of protein, leading to a cessation of growth and eventual plant death.

2. Usage

Fertilome Weed Free Zone is designed for easy application on lawns, golf courses, and other turf areas. For best results, it’s essential to apply the product when weeds are actively growing, as this ensures maximum absorption and effectiveness. When mixing, add a surfactant to increase the product’s efficacy. Do not use in weather above 80 degrees.

Make sure to use this product during cool weather for best results.

It’s crucial to ensure thorough coverage of the weeds without oversaturating the area. Since Weed Free Zone is a selective herbicide, it will not harm most lawn grasses when used as directed. However, always follow label instructions regarding dosage, application methods, and safety precautions to achieve the best results and avoid potential harm to desired plants.

3. Targeting Specific Pests and Diseases

Weed Free Zone is formulated to control a broad spectrum of broadleaf weeds, including dandelion, clover, chickweed, spurge, wild onion, and many others. Its selective nature ensures that while these unwanted plants are targeted, the surrounding grass remains unaffected. Don’t spray on carpetgrass, dichondra or lawns containing desirable clovers.

For persistent or hard-to-control weeds, a follow-up application might be necessary. Regular monitoring of the treated area and timely applications can help ensure a weed-free lawn or turf area, enhancing its aesthetic appeal and overall health.

Note: As always, when using any herbicide product, it’s essential to read and follow label instructions carefully. Fertilome Weed Free Zone should be kept out of reach of children and pets, and users should wear appropriate protective equipment during application.

Watering Tips

  • Our watering advice is based on plants living in a 72 degree house. Porch life or humidity could have an impact on its watering needs.
  • Always use tepid water for watering your houseplants.
  • Broadleaf plants need less water in fall and winter, but you should never allow the soil to completely dry out.
